Fireworld has been in the business of training wildland firefighters, in Montana since 2002. We hold a current MOU with the NRCG to provide training, issue Redcards administer Pack Tests and issue and sign off on Task Books. Joe King, the owner and lead instructor, has forty years of wildland fire management experience, including twenty with the US Forest Service, where he received the USDA Superior Service Award. for excellence in fire management. Additional instructors are utilized as needed, and are all fully qualified, at least one level above, the position they are instructing. Some are also ex-agency, who continue to serve on Incident Command Teams.
